Vertex is an ecosystem of coordinated surveillance and AI-driven decision support for agricultural operations: real-time sensing, predictive analytics, and autonomous field optimisation.
Ecosystem and capabilities
Field deployment relies on WR (WiFi repeaters) to link on-site tools to our servers, FGC (fixed ground cameras) to relay video for DEMETER, QD (quadcopter drones) with OURANOS for autonomous or remote piloting, and GDS (ground docking stations) for charging and real-time relay of drone metrics and video. Vertex delivers detections (fire, frost, intrusion, pests, disease, irrigation defects), parcel health mapping, smart alerts on the PWA, and daily or weekly reporting. Use cases span livestock monitoring, cereals (e.g. Septoria, rust, powdery mildew), viticulture (frost), fruit and arboriculture (rot, fungal diseases), human and animal intrusion alerts, and fire (camera alert then optional drone confirmation before escalation to emergency services).

The Hive Mind
The Vertex ecosystem is orchestrated by a high-velocity Rust backend, processing telemetry from thousands of field agents in real-time.
It coordinates two specialized AI models: DEMETER for computer vision (image and video object detection in agriculture) and OURANOS, a robotic AI trained via reinforcement learning in virtual environments for autonomous drone piloting.
The Vertex web application is a PWA compatible with any device, with no app-store download and single sign-on via Google.
